So, it is important to curb this feeling in them making them feel that they are loved the most by their parents. Read on to learn about 5 easy tips to make your child feel loved.

First of all, use the words of affirmation. In other words, keep in mind that no matter how much angry your kids are, they are always listening to what you say to them. So, try to design your language in a way that they are convinced that you love them a lot.

Second tip is to spend quality time on a regular basis with your kids, so as to make them feel important in your life. Even in your busiest life schedule, work out ways to spend some quality time with your kids and give them attention.

Third tip is to express your love for your kids by gifting them things they wish to own. This is the easiest way to win your kids’ hearts, as kids love gifts and surprises especially from their parents.

Fourth tip is to make them feel loved with your physical touch. Just giving them a good night kiss can also express your endless love for them in a special way. You must try to fulfill their emotional needs and physical needs by expressing love.

Last useful tip in this respect is to exchange roles with your wife. In other words, try to win their heart as a mother does by doing all their daily works in an interesting way.

Here is a list of things that parents must not try to do in front of their growing kids.

Make sure not to fight and argue in front of kids, as this will give a wrong impression on your kids. They too will then start quarrelling on small matters among each others or with their friends. Another thing that should not be done in front of kids is getting cozy with each other, as this will inculcate romantic feelings in kids too.

Don’t curse or swear in front of kids, as this will give them an impression of how to blame others for their miss-happening. Also, avoid watching violence and nudity on television or on computer in front of kids, as it will cast a bad effect on the young minds.

Parents should also avoid drinking or smoking in front of kids, as the youngsters have a habit of mimicking their parents especially in the wrong habits. You must also avoid lying in front of kids.

Child sexual abuse is a heinous crime, which is becoming commonplace of late. The most effective way to prevent it is to talk about it with your child. And it is the responsibility of parents to speak about this with their children. Though, it might be difficult, but it is very important.

Sexual Abuse not only affects child’s physical self, but also destroys him/her emotionally.

According to a study, out of the total cases of child abuse, 15 % of victims fall under 12 year’s age, whereas 44 % are under the age group of 18 years. The victims might not only be girls, even boys can fall victim of such a crime.

When a child becomes prey to such a crime, it brings radical changes in the child. These changes affect the child as well as his/her parents.

To avoid this, parents must make prevention plans. They must speak with the child and try to speak with the child, to find out whom the children are meeting and listen to the child carefully.

The teaching regarding child abuse should also be started early on. These teachings can be imparted through many ways. Like telling the child about their body parts, showing pictures, reading books. The children should also be taught about their private body parts and should be encouraged to speak about any uncomfortable situation they face.

It is not important to spend lavishly and take your children out to spend quality time with them. On the contrary, quality time with kids can even be spent within the compound of your home and that too without spending money.

You simply need to think like a kid and do things that they would love and enjoy. Here we are featuring a few activities that you can carry on with your kids and spend some quality time together having fun.

One such activity is playing charades, a popular fun game. Here one person acts out a word or a phrase while other makes guesses. This game might as well enhance some vocabulary skills of your children.

In another similar game, you can ask each child to write a word or draw something on paper and keep them aside. You can then form two groups and ask each member of a group to pick one paper and act on whatever is there in the paper while other members of his group can guess.

Telling stories is another interesting session that you can carry with your kids. Children love it and its fun. These are a few such activities. However, there are a lot more that you can create on your own by using your imagination. Such small but interesting activities would allow you to spend quality time with your kids while relaxing at home.

Parenting is a tough job and when you have to look after your household, your job along with taking care of the kids, the task becomes further difficult. In doing so, you tend to ignore your health and your needs. And suddenly at one point your body gives up and it collapses.

So, while you take care of everything to run your household, you must also ensure your own needs and requirements. You must have some time for your own self. Even a few minutes of sitting and sharing good moments with the family will give you lot of positive energy and relaxation. So, you must try to sneak some time from your busy schedule to think after your comfort.

Besides, a little bit of bodily exercise, five minutes of brisk walk, or leisure walk for fresh air might also help. With small babies to take care of, you hardly get enough sleep, so getting some good hours of nice sleep whenever possible is also important.

It can be a good idea to stroll in the park with the baby, to play with him, or to have a bicycle ride. This will not only give you some activity, but you can also spend time with the family.

In addition, things like taking care of your diet and nutrition, avoiding stress, relaxing through yoga or meditation, spending some time with friends or talking to them, and watching your favorite television shows etc. also benefits. So, get some time for you and stop avoiding your health.

A large number of these students are those who
attend college for the first time. As parents, we must look into a few
important things to help our children who are heading for a college life
soon. We are going to discuss here few such important things.

The first and the foremost thing would be to surf through the college
profile. This will give an idea about the academics of the college, and
about the subjects that your child wants to study, which will later help
during admissions.

The next thing is to arrange for the required hardware for your child. Like
buying him an advanced computer, which will help in his college tasks. There
are many options available for this. You can buy a notebook, a tablet or
even a netbook. They are light in weigh, offers great battery life, along
with wireless and webcam facilities.

For books, you can look for various alternatives of buying the required
textbook from different sources in advance so that you can get a good deal
and could also make some bargain. This will definitely save you some money.

Spend a little on furnishing and make the study room comfortable and easy.
Another important issue is regarding the finances. Discuss a financial plan
for him so that your child understands the value of money. Moreover, making
him realize about the risks of too much partying and indulging in illegal
behavior is also important.

A just born baby requires a lot of attention, especially in the initial months of life. At this point, when the babies are unable to express their needs, they expect us to understand their needs and to respond to them.

As and when parents fulfill such needs of babies, they develop a sense of security and trust towards them. Moreover, these responses form the base of learning during their growing years.

As a parent, you must know or learn the various early needs of a baby. The first and foremost requirement of babies is 100 percent attention, especially when they cry or get annoyed. Cuddling and soothing the baby in such situation helps them to learn to count on you to respond to his needs.

Another important need of the baby is to be loved. In the first six months, the baby cries only for genuine reasons like hunger, pain, teething. When you cuddle them and love them as response, they understand that you are there for them.

Parents should also try to understand the consistency in a baby’s cry. Babies know only one way of communication during the first six months and that is crying. If you notice, you will find that babies cry differently to communicate different needs. Understanding this consistency can help in responding to the need easily. Parents can also sing, hum, or play music to communicate with the babies, which will benefit the child to learn better.

It has its flip side too. Sometimes they tend to pick abusive languages which could be a real cause of worry. It is not that they understand it but it’s just that they here elders using these words and they simply pick them up. So, what would parents do when faced with such a situation?

Here are some quick tips for parents to deal with such situations-

The key is not to over react. I know it is difficult but if you do overreact, kids will only find a way to grab your attention. If you refrain from reacting, kids will not find using abusive language of no use as they fail in their objective of grabbing your attention.

If over reacting doesn’t work, make sure that you still remain calm but at the same time ensure that they realize that their behavior is not acceptable. You need to be assertive yet at the same time remain calm.

If even this doesn’t work you need to identify a few things. Kids under the age of 5 normally mimic what they hear older kids at times get used to using such language due to the environment to which they are exposed to. They even enjoy speaking these words. You need to figure out the people they are exposed to and it’s often seen that they pick it from elder siblings. Another source of abusive language is television. Parents need to strictly monitor what the child is watching.
