There are many cultures that practice different types of complex ceremonies before a child is born in order to welcome it. In fact, it has been found that connecting with the unborn baby goes a long way in developing the child’s personality. It has been established that bonding with the unborn is a great way to reinforce relationship with your partner and it better prepares you for the kid’s arrival. Here are some tips on how you can connect with your unborn child.

The unborn child sees bright lights and hears sounds; hence you should stimulate these senses by shining light, playing some music or perhaps talking to it. It has been found that the unborn reacts to these stimulations. It is a great way to connect with your to be born baby.

Meditation helps pregnant women to focus on the minutest details of the child’s movements and reactions to various things. During later stages of pregnancy you can feel the movements that the baby makes. So, touch the lump and also make your partner touch it. You will actually feel your baby.

Massaging your belly brings out significant response from the child. It normally reacts by kicking or moving around. Taking up a parental yoga class is highly recommended as it not only prepares you for delivery, it also helps you bond with the unborn child.

Another thing, which especially is a great way for fathers to bond with the unborn, is to write letters to the kid, sharing their dreams, hopes etc. It is important that you connect with your child before it is born as it makes bringing up easier and also helps in shaping the kids personality.
