A recent study by National Kidney Foundation has revealed that women with albuminuria have greater chances of giving birth prematurely. Albuminuria is a condition is which the level of protein albumin in urine is abnormal. This is a very significant finding as it allows doctors to be better prepared for premature delivery in women. They can get to know about this condition by a very simple and inexpensive test.

Research reveals that this condition suggests that a woman could have problems related to her blood vessels, specifically the lining of the vessels. It isn’t that albuminuria is the only cause of premature birth; it could be caused due to malfunction in blood vessels.

Albuminuria is the initial symptom of kidney disease and damage to kidney leads to the leakage of protein albumin into the urine. It has also been found that albuminuria is closely related to other diseases by heart attack, stroke and heart failure. This could be essentially a sign that the entire blood vessel has been affected by albuminuria.

The study was conducted on 111 women, who had given birth after a gestation of less than thirty seven weeks and another 293 women who had normal delivery. During the research, the albumin levels were measured and the results showed that women who had higher level of albumin in their urine stood greater risks of premature delivery as compared to those with low levels of albumin. This report will be definitely of great help to doctors as they will be able to streamline their efforts better.

A recent study has revealed that this could have adverse effect on a kid’s health as it could reduce the oxygen levels by almost 20 percent of all newborns.

Car seats are primarily safety gears and you cannot take your kid home from a hospital without one. The problem with them is that the kid needs to be placed upright and this could lead to breathing problems while the baby is sleeping. The reason for this is that these seats compress the chest resulting in decrease of the size of the airway which is a major reason for lower levels of oxygen in blood.

It is natural for parents to wish that the infant finds some sleep, but they should ensure that they do not use a car bed for the kid to sleep in. It has been found that the early days of a kid is the time when parents are most desperate to find a perfect place for their kid to sleep.

This study was conducted on 200 healthy infants by putting them in cribs and in car seats. It was found that the kids sleeping in the car seats had considerably low levels of oxygen. Consequently, it has been established that sleeping in a car seat could be very harmful for a kid. However, it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t use a car bed while traveling. Just ensure you don’t let your kid sleep in it.

Stranger anxiety is the distress that infants experience when they come into contact with people who are new to them. Babies, generally starts showing sign of stranger anxiety when they are as little as six months old. As babies become older, they start to develop a preference for the people around them depending on their perception of who takes their most care. They start differentiating people and are more comfortable with people whom they are familiar with, generally, the close family members. The stranger anxiety is at its highest level among kids when they are 12-15 months old, it gradually decreases there on. During this period, they would play and let only a selected people hold them.

The common reactions which may exhibit when babies experience stranger anxiety may be crying, whining and babies may even hide from the person who is causing the anxiety. Parents should not treat stranger anxiety as a mental or emotional disorder rather it is a part of the overall development which every child goes through in one way or the other.

Parents must step up to the responsibility and try to lessen the stranger anxiety in their children. They should not pressurize their children to socialize and should give them enough time to get used to new people. They must reassure their child and should be present when they are being introduced to new people. Parents must introduce new people to their children at every possible opportunity.

Babies throwing tantrum is a very common phenomenon and you can consider yourself very lucky if you have a baby who does not throw tantrums. Tantrum is often considered as a means by which babies try to get attention; however, it is not always the case.

Tantrums in babies may be due to several reasons like anger, frustration and the lack of knowledge to react to a particular situation often results in babies throwing tantrums. The frustration may arise due to hunger or thirst or may be when the child is finding it difficult to learn something new.

Toddlers usually throw temper tantrums when they are told no to something as they are not very good at handling it. However, parents can stop these tantrums in their babies by dealing with them correctly and by finding out the reasons which make their babies throw tantrums.

Parents should always talk about their feelings and make their babies realize that it’s perfectly alright to have feelings. This helps the children to deal with conflict and solve problems. Parents should also not hide their emotions and feelings and must teach their children the way to express it. Children should be taught to work their way out of any troubled situation. Parents should also acknowledge the feelings of their child.

Something which is not very important to an adult can be very significant for the child. So, parents should not force their opinion and must make the child realize the fact that his /her feelings are very important. Parents should also assure their children that they are confident enough that the children would get themselves out of any difficult situation and should have the trust that the child can handle the situation.

Allergy results in rashes in babies which is intolerable for them and sometimes also causes vomiting and diarrhoea. Babies under the age of 5 are mostly allergic to eggs, milk and peanuts. As a responsible parent we must look for any symptoms that the baby might show due to being allergic to certain food and make sure that they get sensitized to any allergen. Some babies simply don’t like certain food and that does not mean that they are allergic to it. Allergy generally runs down in the family.

Babies even get allergic to something which their mothers may have eaten during the time of nursing. The best way to avoid allergy in babies is to keep a complete check on their diet. Solid food should be gradually brought in their diet when the babies are four to six months and they should preferably be given cereal and rice in the beginning. This should be followed by vegetables, fruit and meat. There should be a gap of four to seven days when this move is made as it would help bring into notice any sign of allergy that the babies might show and take precautions accordingly.

However, if babies still has allergy, they should be taken to a doctor to confirm the allergy. Such food which causes allergy should be removed from their diet. But there is no reason to worry as most kids generally grow out of these allergies and they can consume the same food without any trouble.

Often parents of new born babies get shocked to see how their babies hold their breath while sobbing. This habit that many newborn babies have is commonly termed as Breath-Holding Spells (BHS). In this babies usually appear to hold their breath like for eternity.

Also known as, Expiratory Apnea, Breath-Holding Spells have the power to affect even healthy infants. So, it is essential that parents know how to deal with their babies who suffer from Breath-Holding Spells.

Taken as a terrifying experience, Breath-Holding Spells or BHS are both involuntarily and reflexively done. These spells usually last from 2 to 20 seconds and can even last as long as a minute.

In many cases, doctors reassure parents that Breath-Holding Spell is not harmful for their children. During this spell, a child often changes his skin color. It is believed that when Breath-Holding Spells takes place, you should lay your hand on the child’s back and protect his head from any injury.

It is really great when your baby can read and when you know how to teach them read without any problems and in a very quick way – it’s really wonderful. But everything is not THAT easy. Sometimes kids just don’t want or can’t … :-( That is why I highly recommend you to find more about the following program.

First of all, the program is suitable for infants, toddlers and children up to 5 years old. Then the program was created by a professional so it is reliable and can’t be harmful to your children. The third point, it successfully helps child’s brain to develop. According to scientists, a baby brain needs stimulation and the best time to learn reading is the first 5 years of life. It is easier for children to learn a language during the infant and toddler years.

Dr. Titzer who is the creator of the following program insists that the common method of starting to teach reading skills in school is completely wrong, since 6-7 years age is too late. The scientist claims that the age from about birth to about age four is the best to learn all aspects and types of language. What is more during these years children are ready to experience everything new and to learn new. Try this your child can read program and the results will definitely exceed all your expectations!
