Well, you are mistaken, generally children ageing between 1 to 3 years go through a stage of biting other children. Though not but most of the children bite during this phase and seeing our child biting someone else, we are bound to act aggressively. In stead, we should know how to deal with children who bite.

First of all remember, that a child bites another child, if he or she is angry with that child or wants to hurt the other child. It has been observed that young children are egocentric and feels satisfied while biting till the other child starts crying. While, there are some children who bite to get the adult attention.

Small children often don’t know how to express their feelings and often they take recourse to measures like biting others. To stop your child from biting other children, first of all try to see what provoked your child to bite others and once you realize this, try to eliminate that factor.

Once, you have stopped your child from biting the other child, try to pacify the anger of the other child’s parents, whom your child has bitten. Teaching your child not to bite other children will take some patience and time, so be prepared for it.
