Scientists who conducted this research found high levels of testosterone in men during mating that will result in more caring for the young in the male partner. Not only this, during mating, males tend to compete with females and their testosterone levels are at the highest level at that time.

A group of 600 men were tested for the levels of testosterone to conduct this research and the results were consistent in the human studies. It was also found that males who were becoming new fathers experienced the largest drop in the testosterone levels when compared to other men who are non fathers.

To conclude, this research brought forward an important fact that raising children is a cooperative effort in which even fathers can contribute equally as mothers. Until, now bringing up the children was considered to be a mother’s task but this is a revolutionary research.
