The study says more self –control in children helps them succeed better in life. The study was conducted on a particular number of individuals for over a certain period of their life since birth. And the result of the study has predicted a number of things.

The first and the foremost prediction of the study is that self-control helps children in achieving success later in life. This fact has been proved after making some serious observations in different areas of an individual’s life in different stages. In fact, it is said that more than intellect and background of an individual, his self-control plays a greater role in his success in life and also takes him towards prosperity and well-being.

Secondly, the study also said that the improvement in self-control in children of three years and above enhances positive feelings in their future life. It is also said that young children who makes effort to improve self-control during young age does well than those who don’t.

So, parents and teachers of young kids should focus on improving self-control in children in young age to have long-term benefits in their life. They should reward children for showing patience in certain difficult situations and should take appropriate action at situations where the child throws temper tantrums.

Hygiene is a very integral part of our daily lives. It is essential in relationships, at place of work and for functioning in the society in general. So it is mandatory for parents to teach their children, the importance of hygiene. For parents, who are unsure of how to deal with this sensitive issue, here are some suggestions that might help them in making their children teach proper hygiene.

A child learns most of the things by observing things around him/her. So, parents should make it a point that they lead by example and instill in the child, the importance of cleanliness at every possible opportunity. Parents should also maintain the comfort level with their children so that they are not afraid to ask any queries that they may have about their bodies.

This would also ensure that the child understands the necessity of cleanliness. Parents should make sure that their children learn how to wash their hands with warm soapy water. They can make their child sing ABC’s while doing so to add some fun. Children should be made to get in the habit of cleaning themselves every night before they go to bed.

Parent should not feel embarrassed to teach their children to wipe thoroughly. They can get moist disposable wipes for their children to make sure that they keep clean in the genital region. Parent should discuss puberty with their children as puberty results in more sweat, growing of hair in underarms and around the genitals and increases the reasons to maintain hygiene. Parent should understand that teaching their children to maintain hygiene would only keep them healthier and happier.

It’s common that parents of newly borns often complain of lack of sleep but this problem continues for sometime, as the babies have their own different biological clock and parents need to match themselves to it. Some babies have a tendency to keep their parents awake with them at night. It takes time to set the baby’s sleeping pattern during day and night.

The first mistake that parents do for making their baby sleep is rocking them, this way the baby get habitual and expect rocking before sleeping. So, in order to cultivate a sleeping habit in babies independently, make sure not to let your baby sleep in your arms. Instead, teach the baby to sleep on bed. However, make sure that the baby is not deprived of the motherly touch.

Set a daily sleeping routine for your baby and teach the baby to sleep on that particular time every day and every night. Soon, the baby will learn and adapt himself to sleep on his own on that time. This tip can be followed when the baby is around 6 months old. Try to make the baby sleep on his back to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Also, make sure to put aside baby’s soft toys, blankets and other things when the baby sleeps. This way you won’t have to worry for the safety of your baby while he sleeps on his own.
