It will take every ounce of self-control to resist yourself from loading up your shopping cart with cute onesies, tiny sailor suits and rompers in every color. Cute baby clothes are as enticing to parents as a candy for a small kid. There are three basic steps which you could follow to manage your toddler’s wardrobe. The strategies are current rotation, bigger sizes and outgrown clothes.
For current rotation if you are using open shelves or closets the basic day to day clothing of your little one should be kept at a handy spot. Fancy and party going attires should be separated from the normal ones. So while taking your day to day clothes you don’t disturb the party outfits. A separate shelf or drawer for the baby socks should be maintained. Baby’s foot wears are small and compact so one compartment is enough while a canvas over-door shoe storage bag would be great.
Now comes the bigger sizes clothes. Many of us have the habit of storing the clothes when there’s a sale. Work out space for hoarding larger sizes like the bins or space bags. If you are using bags or cartons make sure that you put a tag clearly.
Now comes the outgrown clothing. Different brands have different sizing patterns for their clothes. So instead of seeing the numbers and buying clothes check the cloth on your kid. Store it in a bag in the closet.
And the same pattern applies to the parents expecting their second child. And before going shopping for your second one, just check in the closet whether your first kid has missed out something, which can be used for the second one.
